In Copenhagen, between February 1st and 3rd, Scandinavia’s largest kids fashion show took place: The CIFFkids. Located in the heart in the city, more than 300 kids fashion labels from all over the world presented their new collections at CIFF. Mainly Scandinavian labels – famous for their minimalistic and avant-garde fashion style – showcased their designs.
We were right in the middle, discovering the newest fashion trends and brands for you.
The world of fashion has always been influenced by interior design. That stands true for season 2017/18 as well. Fashion and interior were mainly inspired by nature, its mystical colors and impressive landscapes. The season’s colors: dark, deep and natural. We will see a glowing yellow just as we’ll see purple-red, rusty brown and flashy blue.
The trend color however, is most certainly green: pure, raw and powerful – just like nature itself. The textiles are going to be velvety-heavy and shiny, the patterns and prints fine and detailed and materials will increasingly become organic and sustainable. A big thumbs up from us!
Motoreta presented its new AW17/18 collection “We are Nature”. Inspired by nature and its fascinating landscapes, the Spanish kids brand goes for pure and deep earth tones, strong prints and organic cuts. Cool, relaxed and trendsetting – that’s how we love Motoreta.

The Danish newcomer labels isn’t even a year old but already a frontrunner in terms of design. Natural colors, minimalism and prints motivated by the stunning variety earth’s plant and animal life have to offer, define WAWA’s style. The Copenhagen-based label only uses GOTS certified materials and stands for making high quality fashion for a reasonable price. We are fans!

One other country, although far away from Europe, is always amongst those who define trends and fashion styles: Iceland. Iglo+indi are all about fresh colors, comfortable cuts and unique prints. Their designer Helga Ólafsdóttir creates all illustrations single-handedly, placing emphasis on using organic and sustainable materials.

Appropriate yet pretty clothing is rare for those babies born too early. Lone Bach, founder of fashion brand Norma Denmark, had experienced that herself. That is why she developed hand-knitted clothing made of 100% percent skin-friendly milk protein for prematurely born infants. The pure, natural material is super soft, feeling silk-like on skin. We definitely need to keep that fabric in mind! Norma Denmark commits itself to the tiniest human beings. On that basis though, they also offer items up to size 98.

Definitely the coolest backpacks this season come directly from Copenhagen. Ideal for Kindergarten, small forest hikes or short city tours, these packs bringing back memories from the 1970s and 80s, are going to be a hit amongst kids and (!) their parents.
